Seeing isn’t always believing. Our physical eyes can be so cruel, focusing on our own flaws and the flaws in others. They tend to just focus on what’s in front of them, only believing what they can see. Most of the time we just need a “Holy Spirit filter”. God’s speciality is making impossible a reality and revealing things unseen. He brings light to dark places and opens the eyes of the blind. It’s time to start to looking beyond what our physical eyes can see and put on spiritual eyes to see what God can see in us and others. We need a Spirit filter for that!
If we choose to love everyone, then we need to allow the Spirit to fill us and show us what God can clearly see but what we often overlook. Seeing others as Jesus does is essential for us to love others well. Choosing to love is acceptance and gratitude of what has been done for us first. The grace that has been given to us, must also extend to others. We need to love as Christ loves, we need to see how Jesus sees, we need to forgive as Christ forgave us. Spiritual vision is imperative to loving like Jesus.
“Open my eyes to see the wonderful truths in your instruction”-(Psalm 119:18)
“I pray that your hearts will be flooded with light so that you can understand the confident hope he has given to those he called—his holy people who are his rich and glorious inheritance. I also pray that you will understand the incredible greatness of God’s power for us who believe him. This is the same mighty power” (Ephesians 1:18-19)
